The National Breastfeeding Helpline offers information, support and reassurance for mothers throughout their breastfeeding life. Whether you want to breastfeed for one day, one week, one month, one year or more, we're here for you.
All calls are answered by volunteers - all are mums who have breastfed, and all have been highly trained by the Breastfeeding Network or the Association of Breastfeeding Mothers.

We are also piloting a new secure web chat support service: http://abm.me.uk/nbh-live-chat-faqs/ This service is not open all the time yet but we'll let you know as soon as it is.

0300 100 0212 is the National Breastfeeding Helpline. Staffed by ABM and BfN counsellors. Give them a call...if you don't get through at first, keep trying. 0300 330 5453 is the ABM counsellors helpline.

Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions for me please! I had to have an emergency c-section three weeks ago...bleeding had ceased and has started up again bright red, call to hospital & they said call GP (oh dear) so saw him today the diagnosis is an infection from either placenta site or from incision so have been prescribed co-amoxiclav tablets which are apparently breast feeding 'friendly' anti-biotics...what else can I take or do that doesn't involve taking these drugs please??! Many thanks for suggestions! x
