Hello all - I am trying to help a homeless mother and her 16 year old son who lost everything in the flood. Trying to get them into a shelter but we were just able to get their birth certificates but no ID. Salvation Army won't take them with just their birth certificates and no IDs. Does anyone know where they could stay for the weekend until we can start over on monday in trying to get ID? Churches, shelters, group homes? I have a foster son so I'm not allowed to have them in my home without violating the states rules of who I allow in my home for his safety and I've already spent hundreds on hotel rooms this past week. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. They'll freeze on the streets in this weather. Thank you in advance!
Does any one know of some organization that would help with home repair? My husband is disabled and we need a lot of work done to our home, doors, windows, roof ext, ext, ext. If you do could you please contact me by messaging me. Thank you
