I have been seeing Risa since early 2021. Not a long time, but enough to feel like there should be a little more respect coming from her than what I experience today. After I started having Risa do my hair, she then took on my teenage daughter and my mom. When I would leave the shop I would drop around $165 each visit. I guess that was Strike 1 because as I was informed today she "couldn't fill that appointment time" even with a months notice. I was very honest with my reason for having to cancel in that I could not afford to do both my hair and fix my daughters car. I told Risa when I cancelled that I would be calling her to reschedule once I was in a better financial place. She seemed to understanding at the time, but as I found out today apparently that was Strike 2 & 3.
My daughter had an appointment scheduled with Risa for this coming week. She has been texting Risa for the last week because she couldn't remember the appointment time and date. Risa never responded. So this morning I went to the salon to ask Risa in person when my daughters appointment is, and Risa said she cancelled her. I asked why she cancelled and Risa said because I had missed my last two appointment. My daughter is an individual person, who pays for her own appointments, so why is the fact that I couldn't afford my appointment being taken out in another paying client?? I asked her why she couldn't have just replied to my daughter this week instead of leading her on to believe she was her hair done and Risa, "I was going to but then decided I didn't want to."
Then there is the issue with my mom, who had an appointment last week that Risa cancelled at the last minute, again taking her frustration with me out on yet another paying client.
Today Risa said that by me canceling my two appointments it affected her financially, and I get that. But if you are so worried about your finances, why would you cancel 2 other paying clients because you are frustrated with me?
She clearly needs a reality check and the fact that the management at this salon allow her to act the way she does toward clients is unbelievable.
