  Well, your local Jackson Kayak dealer should be your 'go to' place. If they don't have it or can't get it for you, then by all means, order it from somewhere. I'm all for supporting your local shops. Keeping them in business means they can better support your community and provide us anglers with a place to try new gear and make new relationships with other local anglers and sportsmen/women.

  Hello C.O.W.S., Tad Bromfield, warm weather COW here. I have a request for information please. My wife bought a Red Wilderness Aspire Kayak from Rock Creek on Wednesday. She is excited about the kayak however we need some recommendations about roof racks for our Honda Pilot if you are willing? There are a couple of limitations we need to account for: 1.) height of roof rack, we have 17 inches between top Honda standard luggage rack and garage door opening 2.) She is looking for ease of use, she would like to be able to place kayak on roof rack unassisted (if possible) meaning due to the height of Honda Pilot one must lift weight of kayak from waist over head to roof rack. 3.) simplicity, the rack needs to be installed such that we do not need to install and remove each time kayak is in use. 4.) We bought Thule bars which attach to the Honda roof rack and now need to pull the trigger on the part which cradles the kayak. 5.) we have looked at Thule and Yakima....any first hand experience of these products or other suggestions? I know this is a lot of info but the roof rack thing ....not quite as easy (to me) as purchasing a bike rack. Thanks for your consideration, Tad Bromfield ......slow swimming part time COW! :-))

  I would buy foam pads and some NRS type straps. They are easy to put on and take off and still protect the boat. Also, there is a how to video that Samantha Christen did on the Jackson Kayak website that shows how to lift your boat.
