  Looking for recommendations for good Orthopedic doctor(s) for minor knee and foot-ankle issues. I saw 2 different doctors at Orthopedic Associates but it looked like they are more interested in surgery or critical cases. In fact for one of the issues, I got to see only the Physician Assistant, not the doctor I took the appointment with. I am hoping to find an Ortho specialist who can treat without suggesting surgery (with physio, etc). Thanks in advance.

  See Dr. Eugene E Curry,, 214-220-2468. Go for the specialist so you can walk. I saw a dr at Orthopedic Assoc, made a mess of my foot. Still had broken bones in my foot. That dr is no longer there.

  The best in Dallas is Dr. Cooper at the Carrell Clinic. He used to be the orthopedic doc for the Dallas Stars and now is the orthopedic doc for the Dallas Cowboys. Super cool offices with really neat sports pictures of all of his clients in each room.

  They are no very skilled and are not very good at what they do. A skilled surgeon will make all of the difference but an unskilled surgeon can actually make you worse off. Dr. Pak is sending me to the Carrell Clinic in Dallas which is one of the best places in TX. They have drs for every aspect of orthopedics and all are highly skilled in their own areas of expertise.   Can anyone recommend a good orthopedic surgeon or sports medicine doc in the area? I've been diagnosed with a torn rotator cuff, but would like a second opinion on my MRI. Also if I do need surgery and PT, I would need it close by the house, rather than at my other doc's facility in N. Carrollton. Surgery means no driving for 6 weeks, so I'd need to bus or cab it in the area.

  Dr. Dan Worrel at the Carrell Clinic. He repaired my son's arm when it was badly broken on football. He repaired a torn labrum (football) on one shoulder this past summer and is repairing the other one (halter breaking a bull) this summer. He has been an excellent doctor! 214-220-2468. They are on Central just north of Park Lane. And, we were able to do therapy in Gainesville near where we live.

  You probably need a MRI. ER won't order one- your PCP or an orthopedist will. Dr vineyard at Carrell clinic 214 220 2468 is great, or Dr Baker, Dr Cooper( does one port surgery if you need it). Dr. Rutherford at Medical City is great.
