  Need a landscaping company that works with trees. Different than someone who mows the lawn. We have 3 green giants that may need to be replaced and 1 maple that is tipping and we want to try to save it ... any recommendations for horticultorist or the like will be helpful. We cannot and will not use Sussex tree. :)

  There are several commercial products for scale, but I spoke to Arbor Care. Ritchie Thurman. 302 491 4392. They have their own formula and my hollies look very happy.

  Scale is difficult to control in the warmer months without a systemic treatment. The crawlers can be controlled in the spring before they harden into the scale. Leave all of the voo doo to the internet and the tree huggers and consult a professional arborist such as Arbor Care.

  I would suggest that irresponsible chemical applicators in our area are the exception and not the rule. The two businesses previously mentioned, Arbor Care and Sposato are both reputable. I do not agree with you that "Pest Control and Lawn Maintenance are really a lost art", nor do I agree that "Landscapers are Lazy".
