  Fence installation Hey all! I’m in the process of buying a new house and one of my first projects will be installing a 6’ wood privacy fence. I’m not ready to request estimates from pros yet because I’m not quite to closing, but am trying to put together a rough budget and would love your insight. Has anyone here hired a contractor to install a fence in Nashville? If so, would you mind sharing: 1) who was it and would you recommend them? 2) size and type of your fence, and how much it cost?   For a basic pine 6 foot privacy fence assembled with nails, I'd expect it to be about $21/linear foot. If you want it assembled with screws, it'll be $2 or $3 more. I thought about an 8', but that's a very large fence, and 8' pressure treated pine is going to warp a lot more over time than 6'. We used Brian Hughes@(615)474-9924. He's got a great crew and they did a quality job. Used three nails per support instead of two, good detailed work, came back and corrected a couple details without additional payment. For anything other than pine, it's going to be double or triple the cost for cedar and about 4-5 x the amount for vinyl.
