  Does anyone know where I can find info on events in Lyme during 2016? I've had a Google and information seems a bit sparse. A group of us are in the process of organising a LR family day in aid of a childrens charity and local Lyme projects. A Saturday in July or August would be fab and we don't want to clash with other events. We have a venue in mind, they just need a date. Xx

  There's a full list of events available at the town council, which was completed only on Friday! It may be subject to change/confirmation but if you call the office on Monday it can be emailed to you. The list will be added to lymeregis.org early this week for anyone else who wants to see it

  Have a look on the town website lymeregis.org there are 12 walks on there - the Liz Jones memorial walks. They are all really good 4-6 miles.

  Hi. Help needed please!! My parents live in their apartment in Spain and return to the UK in the summer months when they stay in their touring caravan. They booked onto a site and paid for a year to keep their caravan on the site all year round on the basis that they would be staying in the caravan during the summer months when it is very hot in Spain. However, when they arrived there the site was not as advertised. It was advertised as having a shop but it doesn't, it has one shower that doesn't work and it is miles from anywhere. They have since been told that they are only allowed to stay in the caravan for 28 days at a time despite informing the campsite owners that they were looking to stay for several months. So they need to find somewhere else to store/live in their caravan and quickly! Does anyone know of anybody who may have a low cost campsite, a small area of land they are not using that they would like to rent out, or a low price caravan storage area where the caravan can be kept but also lived in for a period of time? All they need is access to electricity and drinking water. If anyone can offer any help/solutions they would be gratefully received!! :)

  If you phone the Tourist Information Centre - 01297 442138 they can do an accommodation availability search for you and tell you the reasonably priced ones. Open 7 days a week :)
