  Hi Checking to see if anyone has some helpful guidance for us. We recently adopted a sweet little rescue dog. Tiny, about 10 lbs. Turns out she was older then we were led to believe which is fine. We love her. It was obvious she was going to need some dental care from neglect. Def a good plaque scraping and maybe 1 or 2 extractions. We took her to a local vet who gave us an estimate of over $700!! Needless to say this is outrageous and out of our budget (we were thinking for a small dog maybe in the $200-$250 range). Has anyone ever encountered a similar situation? Are there places you can take a rescue dog for dental care that does not charge the same fee as you would pay for a human's teeth?? Many thanks for any help we can receive.

  Have you tried Shelton in bunnell? My mini doxie is less than $300 and is going Monday for her dental amd several extractions and my other two go to them for everything. They are amazing 3865863000

  Shelton Vet in Bunnel. You can sometimes purchase a spay certificate from Flagler Humaine society. They are not always available there but they are always available at Halifax Humane Society. The cost is about $35.00 and Shelton accepts the certificates. You can also call Shelton at 386-586-3000 to see what they charge. I have used them for years and they are the cheapest in the area but with good medical attention for your pet..

  ISO- FREE or Low Income Vet Clinic. First let me say our animals are our babies and are well taken care of. We haven't lived in this area long and are both disabled. We only take them somewhere if they are sick. We weren't sure they were even gonna make this trip as they are very old for big dogs. Well, it saddens me to say, one is vey ill and I want him to get good care, but I don't know of a place that allows you to make payments or handles people and animals on charity. I don't like anything or anyone suffering. PLEASE if you can help or have any suggestions, let me know. Our fur babies are our lives. TIA
