Seeking local Sewing Machine Repair Tech:
Model of my Machine: SEQS-6700
Brand: Singer
I'm looking for someone that can help me within a reasonable fee look at my Singer Computerized Machine. I have read my book front to back, used the right needles, bobbins, etc, etc and my Embroidery unit doesn't function at all.
It basically becomes a big wad of loose thread and eats the fabric.
Singer insists I mail it out because something surely must be loose. I refuse to mail the machine out to be serviced because of the horror stories I've read from others who have the same machine I do, getting it back from the service center and it won't even sew or something blows up on it requiring it to be repaired again. It's also not a light weight machine so shipping it out of state to the 'preferred service center' for the model is going to cost me an arm and a leg.
I prefer and trust LOCAL repair people or someone that can look my machine over and give me an idea of what I might be looking at to pay out of my own pocket ''IF'' it is indeed something 'faulty'. I'm done playing games with Singer and the help support is useless. If the machine had presented problems right away 2 1/2 years ago I would have returned it instantly.
I have no issues using it for sewing, it sews like a dream for all my major projects but the time I need the unit for it's purpose it's a lemon. >.>;
