About us
I am a documentary/reportage/candid/photojournalistic wedding photographer. Don’t worry, they all mean the same thing. Essentially, I tell you to just carry on with your day as normal and I will be popping up in all sorts of random places like a strange ninja. The biggest compliment I can get from a client is “we didn’t even notice you taking that photo” and the second biggest is “you’re a really nice person and your fascinator totally isn’t weird or sad”.
The things I look for and aim to capture when shooting are emotions, in-jokes and relationships. I want every photo I give you to be dynamic and interesting. I want you to be able to look at your photos and say things like “Oh that’s when auntie Margie laughed so hard she got the hiccups!”. More than anything I want your photos to represent you being you, because there’s nothing better than that!
My approach to editing is very natural, on principle I don’t approve of airbrushing, so I won’t be adding on a new layer of makeup in photoshop. I think people look their best as themselves, and I want your wedding photos to contain you, not you as Brangelina. Everyone is individual and different, so I believe every wedding is unique
For similar reasons to why I don’t airbrush, I love realness. I love great facial expressions, I love people crying, people laughing. This is why I try to keep group formal shots to a minimum, because weddings aren’t about people looking at the camera and saying cheese. Even when there are group formal shots, you can expect there to be something alive and wonderful about it.
As well as weddings I also shoot private events such as christenings, bar/bat mitzvahs, birthdays, and occasionally a spot of live music.
