It might sound an over specific question which might go down as a lead balloon, but can anybody recommend any Central or East European restaurants in the area?

I mentioned the shops, Aaron, because you also referred to a recipe book expected in the post. Cafe Deluxe menu: http://www.cafedeluxelondon.co.uk/Menu.aspx

Cafe Deluxe on Griffin Road ....I think it's a family from Moldova that run it.....I'm not sure. I keep meaning to pop in for a beer....I've not tried it yet....
Andrew S. replied:
I second (or third) Cafe Deluxe. On the plus side, their kirsch pancakes are delicious. On the negative side, they do one of the World's stingest happy hours. Buy five drinks in a two hour window, get a sixth free.

Aaron, my next door neighbours have been to Cafe Deluxe and enjoyed the food. Its on the list. There was talk a while back about a peepup there (Plumstead people meeting up over beer/coffee) but not sure if that ever got passed planning stage.
Any recommendations nice local cafe? Pantry closed today
