I became vegan to cheat death and defy the doctors who were out of options in treating my myriad of health problems including severe Heart Disease, Lupus, IBS, and daily migraines. , Though feeling better on a vegan diet, I still had health issues, since I have a degree in nutrition I knew to do an elimination diet, & I discovered that gluten was also my enemy, which led to a diagnosis of Celiac Disease. All of my health problems and the 11 prescriptions I took daily disappeared on a balanced vegan, gluten free diet! I lost my excess weight, chronic pain and migraines dissolved away, my coronary arteries are completely clear of the blockages, and I am absolutely thriving, and hope to help others do the same.
It isn't easy navigating either a vegan diet or gluten-free diet, and often it is frustrating and overwhelming. All recipes I provide are both gluten free and vegan (without meat, dairy, honey, or eggs). Through this page and my blog, I hope to share my journey to health through my own creative recipes, humor, and healthful tips from the perspective of a health professional who has been cured not by doctors, but by food. I'm glad you are here, together we will strive while thriving, to be gluten free and animal product free!
