  Hi my 11 month old Huntaway X has just been diagnosed with hip dysplasia on both sides and I can't afford the recommended treatment, nor do I feel able to care for him with more conservative treatment and the restrictions that brings. Could anyone recommend where to look for searching for a compassionate adopter for this kind of situation? I really want him to go to a responsible caring home. Or other suggestions/stories?

  Oh poor Rafi, sorry to hear that. Why don't you contact Kym Shrimpton from www.acupet.co.nz to discuss options for him. There are so many healthy dogs struggling to find good homes that it may be difficult to re home him and I'm sure there will be some options for treatment that you can afford?
