  Just had our local firemen out to fit smoke alarms in my house. They were fitted within minutes and we now know of an escape route and what to do if we are unfortunate enough to have a fire. They were brilliant at entertaining my older 2 on the engine whilst the above was being done and discussed. Highly recommend their services and its free!

  Moss Side Fire Station (and most of the others) has a community room available which has a projector connected to a computer. It's free to use so long as you aren't using it for commercial gain. You can call 0800555815 for more info and to book the room.

  Any handymen/electricians out there in Shaw who would come and check my smoke alarm so that its chirping doesn't wake me up again at quarter to four in the morning. Can't see a make or model on it. Not sure if it is hard wired in but for the sake of my sanity, I have to get it fixed!!
