Also any recommendations on where to get hay (no alfalfa) as I'd like to have some stocked up before I get there! My new place is within riding distance to the cove riding club arena!

  Going to be moving to Lampasas towards the end of summer with my two paint geldings. Hoping to become a member of your club when we get down there but before I'm hoping to get a list of good Vets, farriers, place to get hay before hand! Any suggestions/recommendations?

  Have used Kret Hansen as my farrier for over 3 years! He's great and I've seen him fix a lot of things 254-258-7303. Burnet Vet Clinic is great and is the best priced around 512-756-2802. I also really like Belton Vet Clinic. You can always reach a vet 254-939-1884. For hay Bobby Carroll has good coastal and always a good price when you get it out of the field(512) 734-1860. Pat Carpenter has a hay barn in Lampasas. He brings it in from all over. Gets nice hay out of California coastal and alfalfa(254) 290-3959. Hope this helps! There are also several riding clubs. Copperas Cove Saddle Club, Lampasas Riding Club, 5 Hills Cowboy Church....even trail riding, team penning, team sorting...plenty of place to go!

  I really like Kret Hansen, he has done wonders for my mare that foundered. I was told I would probable never ride her again, and I'm riding her today. Also love Burnet Vet Clinic, really good people.
