  We've had a large tom cat hang around since we moved into our house 6 years ago. This winter he's slept in our hay shed. He has been really wary of people but this week he has allowed me to stroke him. My plan is to be able to pick him up so I can get him checked for a chip. Does Rugby Cats Protection have a chip scanner or would I be best taking him to a vet?

So far she's been the only person to volunteer to help us get the message out there, so if anyone else has a spare half an hour and would be able to deliver a few leaflets in their local area, please let me know.
