So, Len and I are taking the plunge and replacing our turf with water wise plants. We visited a nursery and they helped us come up with a design and recommended plants. After doing some research on the plants I have realized that their idea and my idea of NO (okay low) maintenance are a bit different. Does anyone know of any public gardens that we might visit to see plants fully grown? The plants are all cute when small but I don't want something that grows into an unruly mess that I have to maintain. The few yards in our area that have been converted....I really don't like. There are just way to many plants and everything seems very hodge podge. I realize you have to cover 50% of the area in plants but I would rather go with fewer plants that cover more. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
