We had it built in June of 2015 but haven't had a chance to stain it and after talking to someone at Home Depot - I was advised that May is the best time of year in our area to do it - warm enough, dry enough and no leaves blowing around, but it's a small window! I am pregnant and won't be able to do it myself and husband would be limited to weekends. It's only 16 x 20 with a small slatted privacy wall on one end and a rail on the other side.
