  I'm trying to get some recommendations for some "authentic" (AKA not gimmicky) Pennsylvania Dutch / Amish / Colonial/Historical attractions / restaurants, etc. for my extended family from North Carolina who will be coming in mid-October 2015 for about a week... any suggestions? This is a birthday gift / memory making trip from three siblings to their 80 year old (and VERY active) mother! Please send me any and all suggestions!

  Fishers Variety store, Singing Spring grocery, AB Orchard (they usually press fresh apple cider daily. When I buy eggs there, sometimes they are still warm from the hen!)...all Amish owned. There are a few Amish owned hardware stores that are fun too...I can't remember the names at the moment. 2 nd Saturday of each month Bart Fire Co has an all you can eat breakfast....lots of locals, lots of Amish, lots of food. Bart FireCo usually has a ham diner on Oct too -they have a web site bart51.com I think. Hope this info helps!
