  treehouseanimals.org. I know it is in Chicago, but you will never find a place more dedicated to cats. EVER. Check out their website. Our next door neighbor abandoned their cat outside a few years ago when it was below zero. We have cats and parrots, so we couldn't keep her, but we kept her in the bathroom until we could find a place for her. No shelters or rescues around here would take her. We found Treehouse online, and they took her. They keep them until they are adopted. There are cats that have been there for years. It is an amazing place.
