It was a dream of mine to have a working painting studio, and a visitor-friendly atmosphere where friends could gather to see a working studio and restoration business. It would be here that questions could be answered and a friendly atmosphere would encourage a daily exchange of artistic, historic and meaningful ideas. I would realize this beginning stage in 1980 with the opening of my studio (Tri-Maple Studios) in my barn on our property at 305 Church St. in New Alexandria, PA. By 1988 Roxanne and I enlarged our business by renting space and opening a gallery known as the New Growth Gallery through my friend Jack Mayer on Main Street...then onto the Keystone Plaza...then onto the hill house owned by Dale and Darlene Latimer...and now finally, since 2010, at 319 West Main Street! Roxanne and I have restored and decorated this space as our newest purchase and second historic property in New Alex. The Classroom opened in 2012 and is home to the New Alexandria Art Alliance...a club for the discussion and historic understanding of the arts through the ages. Our first one-man exhibition will feature Xan Mayer, son of sculptor Jack Mayer in October or 2014! We are very excited about our continued service to the area in many facets of art interests. We are here to serve your personal needs. Call on us any time. Jeffrey P. Rouse, Owner, Conservator
