  Stephanie W. wrote: I joined a yoga teacher training at Empower ME Yoga with Marla Ericksen here in Ottawa. Turns out, there was false advertising and the school isn't registered and therefore not recognized so even if I complete it, my certificate won't be valid and I won't be able to do any continued education. A refund has been refused and now the content is no longer being provided to me because I complained. I contacted the Yoga Alliance but there is only do much they can do. I assume this has to be illegal somehow. On top of this, she advertised it as completely online and is now adding in person mandatory classes that I cannot attend. She has missed multiple sessions and she stopped teaching the Yoga classes that were included in the fee. I have written evidence of all of this. I am trying to get this story out there so she will provide my refund and stop false advertising in the future.
