  With the rec center they will consider a 5 year old depending in their birthday and amount of interaction with other kids. You normally pay two week sessions at the rec on Pt. Malabar. I used to run the camp there a few years ago. If much hasn't changed they will do a trial week or two weeks to see how the child fit in with the rest of the campers. You can always call and see if they still allow it. The number is 321-952-3443 but I must say its better to stop in with the child. I always liked seeing the child to observe them and their interaction with the kids while there with the parent.
