  Hi there, does anyone know of any horseback riding lessons in our mountain area? I'm a fairly confident rider and grew up around horses my whole life- we had to put my horse down a few years back and I haven't been in the saddle a whole lot since. I really just want an excuse to ride and to brush up on my skills. I can't find much online- it just brings up trail riding and what not- thanks in advance.

  SEEKING... A good friend is heading south from Vashon Washington to Mariposa California. We are looking for temporary board -- doesn't have to be fancy, just safe, for two Arabians --one older gelding and one mare. Both horses have impeccable ground manners and the owner is my friend and trainer and will handle care. The humans have a gap between selling their place here and a move in date in Mariposa. Anyone from Mariposa? Or know anyone there? Tentative arrival date is next Monday.

  Longs Ranch is a very nice facility in the rolling hills of oak trees, so is Shawna Dahl's boarding facility: https://www.facebook.com/shawnadahlranch , and Yosemite Lakes Park Equestrian Center is in Coarsegold (Madera County). But if you're looking for tall pine trees and cooler weather, there's the fabuluous Seymour's Ranch facility above 4000 ft in Mariposa. Seymours is the only boarding facility listed that is at an elevation of 4000 ft. Lots of pasture grass, many trails to ride off the property and some lead to Yosemite. Please private message me if you need more info. I know other folks who would take in horses temporarily.
