  I don't know if anyone has any suggestions, but my husband and I are looking for somewhere to stay for a week from 31 October. We have 3 well behaved dogs. We don't mind where, as long as it is within reasonable distance of South Wales and well away from any fireworks!

  Hi Wendy we are about 1.5 hr away from you in stunning rural Carmarthenshire, in the beautiful Gwili Valley on the edge of Brechfa Forest. We don't see any fireworks, but can only hear them faintly in the distance. We have 5 dog friendly cottages here at: www.forestviewholidays.co.uk We have Nantglas available from 31 st Oct to 7 th Nov. Nantglas has a HUGE totally enclosed garden situated opposite our own private enclosed lake. There are some lovely walks into the forest from our doorstep and guests with their dogs can enjoy our own private 3 Acre lake.   Looking for a dog and child friendly self catering holiday for the week beginning 22/23/24 Aug. Ideally on Isle of Wight.

  Hi Sarah, I know you want Isle of Wight, but just thought I'd let you know we have availability in Ty Coedwig from 22 nd to 29 th Aug 2015. This cottage sleeps 4 and is finished to a high standard and well equipped. WIFI is free, all beds are made up and fresh towels supplied. We are in stunning Carmarthenshire, S.Wales in a beautiful valley on the edge of Brechfa Forest. There are some lovely walks into the forest which is on our doorstep and guests with their dogs can enjoy our own private enclosed lake. We have our 3 Shetland ponies, Lady, Hana and Chino and also our new foal (nearly 2 weeks old) "Trin". There are some beautiful dog friendly beaches including Pembrey Country Park and Llanstephan also the bustling market town of Carmarthen is a 10 minute drive. We border Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire so plenty to explore (Tenby, Folly Farm, Oakwood, Gower Coast, the Dolphins in New Quay). There are some really good doggie Day Care places should you need to leave your dogs for the day. There are some great dog friendly pubs with great food, just a short car journey away.
