  Gillian H. wrote: Had them paint my chimney. Looked great, until one season of fireplace use and the bricks started crumbling (literally). Contacted them and was pawned off with "it appears more structural than paint related". Had a mason expert attend and he was not surprised; you paint a working chimney, and it will fall apart. $1950 paint job wasted. Complete new chimney is required, or it will continue to fall apart. Contacted them again and they thought the situation was unfortunate and they would keep it in mind for future jobs. I don't expect any compensation, its an expensive lesson learned - just thought they'd be more interested in bettering their expertise. Couldn't be bothered to come and look, and who knows if they have looked into why you shouldn't paint a chimney. Gave them one star - I'm sure they know what they're doing on drywall.
