  How to ship furniture (bed, frame, nightstands) to San Francisco? I have a friend in Bakersfield that is getting rid of a king size bed, along with the bed frame and matching nightstands, and she has offered them to me if I can get them transported up to San Francisco. Does anyone know of a shipping or moving service that could do this for $500 or less? I’ve contacted bigger van line moving companies and have quotes for $1000+. At that point, I might as well buy my own furniture! I’m not able to rent a uhaul and drive it up myself, so I need a service to get it done with disassembly in Bakersfield, and bonus if they can reassemble in San Francisco. Thanks for any leads!

A wonderful family who has adopted two of my fosters has a son at Arizona State who has to give up his two pit mixes until he is able to buy a house. The parents are in Marietta. I spoke with Wheels4Paws earlier today. The earliest they could transport would be mid-February. I met both dogs during the holidays. They are awesome!

  U-Haul rents trucks but not sure if you can pull with their vehicles. Try posting a "gig" on something called Roadie.com. They have people who are going places and are willing to pick things up for you and bring back --- might find someone and it might be cheaper than having to drive down and back anyway!!
