I am married to my gorgeous hubby, dan and we have a beautiful little girl called caitlin and a baby boy called Riley-Jay. I also own the photographybymorgan Studio in flint.
I started photography in 2008 with my dad Gary, orginally i was a nursery nurse and alway loved working with children so decided on a change of career. I started with charity shoots for breast cancer. We did 12 ladies that had either been through cancer or where going through it, it was amazing, they where so brave.
I opened our studio in August 2009 when it came to a point where i got so busy and wanted to be more professional with a proper premises, and here i am enjoying what i do.

Session Info

When should I schedule my maternity session?
Ideally for maternity the best time to photograph your belly is between 32 – 35 weeks into your pregnancy.

When should I schedule my newborn session?
It is never too soon! For availability, the best time to schedule your session is during your pregnancy BEFORE your little one arrives! I will add your expected due date to the schedule. When baby arrives please contact me as soon as possible, and we will finalize all the details.

When should my newborns be photographed?
A newborn session should take place when baby is under 14 days old. At this time they still have their ‘womb–like’ behavior; meaning they are more pliable and curl well for those adorable photographs we love! Past this time frame, baby puts weight on, they are more likely to become disrupted, have a tendency to become more alert and baby acne may start to appear. We want them curly, comfy and ready to slip into dreamland! If you come across my site and baby is over 14 days old, don’t fret! Call me as soon as possible to schedule a session! The sooner the better to get those newborn poses. Newborns over 14 days old become more... show more
difficult to settle and as a result, quite often we won’t get as many poses as we would when baby is 5 – 10 days old *The majority of images on this site were accomplished with babies under 14 days old.

What should my newborn wear?
My newborn sessions are taken with baby in their natural skin. I will incorporate color and textures like blankets, bows, baskets and hats just to name a few! Baby’s bits and pieces are always covered up and tastefully photographed!

What should I expect during the session?
During the session you can sit back and relax!
*Baby’s safety is of the utmost importance to me during our session. I handle your little treasure as I would my own. For any amount of time that baby is not being photographed, mainly between set ups, baby is always covered up when he/she is not being photographed for the sake of modesty. These tiny subjects are people not props and safety is always my first concern!

How long will my session last?
Newborn session last anywhere from 2 – 3 hours. I allow ample time for feedings, comforting and nappy changing. We don’t want to rush baby, we want baby sleepy, comfy and relaxed… so I go at their pace!

Where will my session be held?
Newborn sessions are held at my studio in Flint where I can control the climate and have full access to my wide variety of props and set -ups.

As weather permits, I photograph at various outdoor locations around the Flintshire/cheshire area

What time of day is best for Outdoor Sessions?
I have found the best time to photograph outdoors is at the very tail end of the day into early evening or morning. The quality of the light is, in my opinion, the best and that is when I take advantage of it and photograph my subjects.

What should we wear for family photos?
Try to avoid plain white if possible. Personally, I like colors, textures and layers. It’s nice to coordinate colors within the same color pallet. Solid or two tone colors are best. Avoid busy prints, patterns, paisley or shirts with logos this just detracts from the face and all you will notice is a loud print or a logo on a shirt and the face is what a portrait is all about!

How to prepare for Babies and Children Sessions:
To prepare for babies and toddlers, please make sure that everyone is well rested and tummies are full. Scheduling around naps and meal time is not a problem. A session can last anywhere from 30 minutes to 1 hour . I reccommend only the ones who will be photographed be at the session, too many people tend to be distracting.

What if my child is not feeling well?
Children that are not feeling up to par and great photographs do not mix! PLEASE, it is better to reschedule. I understand this is out of your control so don’t worry, rescheduling is not a problem! I want you to be happy with my work and sick children and cameras do not go well together. So we’ll just shoot for another day! (pardon the pun)
