  They are tearing down the old Mexican restaurant next to the bridge. Does anyone know who is doing it? Is it the city or some body that wants to build something there?

  I went to a city planning meeting here in Deep Creek a few years ago. That's where I got the first pictures of the plans for the new bridge. I talked to the planner and asked when he thought the bridge might be built. He told me that if the funding were approved today it would still take five years from that date to build the bridge. The bridge has not been funded yet. I called and talked to congressmen Randy Forbes office about it a few years ago. They told me that since they are no longer allowing ear marks for funding there's nothing congressman Forbes can do about it. I suggest that everyone concerned hear calls congressman Randy Forbes office and ask them what can be done to get the funding done for the bridge.
