I grew up in the northern California Redwoods, and joined the Air Force after high school to pay for college. As a veteran I put myself through college and earned my AA degree and my BA degree. I was taught to sew 19 years ago in Middle School; however, it wasn't until 6 years ago when my young daughter wanted a dress made out of some material that she saw that I really started to focus on my skill. For the last 6 years I have been making fun spring and summer dresses for my family.
My first Craft fair was in May of 2009. Since then I have extended out from just spring and summer dresses to now include Fun, cute aprons for all occasions, Costumes and dress up, emphasizing on Renaissance and Pirate costumes. Fleece throw blankets and fleece scarves.
Offering low rate alterations; original hem, dresses and more.
Sewing machine lessons are $25 a class or $120 for a 6 week season. Lessons include an understanding of sewing machine terminology, how to create multiple stitches, how to create a blanket and/ or pillow, pattern reading, measuring and creating a clothing item.
Zissy Foy: I'm looking for a local seamstress that can make me some simple light shorts for the summer. Any ideas neighbors?
