About us

My name is Becki Null and I just started my in-home daycare in April 2015. Even though I'm "new" to the business, I have plenty of experience. I have my bachelor's degree in elementary education and have been caring for children in some capacity since I was eleven. I began as a babysitter, transitioned into a nanny, became a mom, was widowed, and now here I am as a childcare provider. My own two boys are 5 and 6 and will be in kindergarten and first grade in the fall.
I currently care for five children, 2 full-time and 3 part-time. I don't currently have any openings. Our day is semi-structured. We always do an activity or craft and I will be incorporating a summer school element to my program beginning in June and am excited to spend a lot of time outside in the yard!
We spend our day reading, writing/drawing, singing, and exploring using a hands-on approach.
I have a variety of activities that are available to the children throughout the day. Older kids use puzzles, books, lacing, play-doh, kinetic sand, velcro sticks, and magnets to name a few. Younger kids can stack blocks, explore various shapes and textures, and develop motor skills.
Pre-school aged kids will work on letters and letter sounds, shapes, colors, name writing, and pre-reading. We will have a theme each week that will be our focus and will read books, create projects related to that theme.
Children will learn to be independent in age-appropriate areas such as using the bathroom, hand-washing, feeding, cleaning up toys, and helping/sharing with others.
I provide food for all kids who eat table food. You provide diapers, wipes, formula, baby food etc. I don't charge for vacation days or sick days. My open hours are flexible. Weekends and overnights are a possibility.
