Does anyone know a good accounting software or online tools for paying Employees and creating invoices?
Having to do each invoice manually in MSWord is a daunting task >.

I recommend Xero. Xero is great for invoices, especially as you can send them from anywhere as it is all online. Direct bank feeds make it really easy to keep track of your cash and to get your data into your system. You can get into Xero cheaper if you go through your accountant (usually). However there is a monthly cost while you could potentially find a pirated copy of MYOB. There is no functionality directly for payroll, although you can get add-ons that connect directly into Xero. Some of these are really cheap as the government gives a subsidy for payroll software.
