It is with heavy and reluctant hearts that we announce the end of the Parker County Daily Post. Over the course of two years of continuous publication, PCDP built a large and loyal following of readers, fans, and contributors. At our peak, over 55,000 people a month accessed our coverage of local news and events. Unfortunately, we were not able to convert the passion of our readers into reliable advertising revenue. As it was, and remains, our belief that a large part of the value of PCDP was in its being a free service, advertising was the only revenue opportunity available. We are proud of the product produced, and we are eternally grateful to the many men and women that contributed to the quality and originality of its publication. The hard work of the editors, writers, photographers, sales people and administrative staff proved there was a demand for honest, timely and relevant local news coverage. We thank them for their efforts, and we thank our readers for the privilege of serving as your information source in Parker County. We are confident that there will be other attempts to develop a digital platform to connect our community through comprehensive local news coverage. We will be rooting for them and we encourage you to lend them your support. Thank you.
