VOLUNTEERS UNIFIED TO PRESERVE AND BUILD ALL HORSE INTERESTS, TRAILS AND LAND USE IN NEW YORK STATE!
This is the goal of the New York State Horse Council
We are New York's Recreational Equine Umbrella organization devoted to creating a forum, in which horsemen of diverse interests can use their "horsepower" to guarantee a future for our horses,
Horse Events, and
Horse related businesses in New York State.
We facilitate grass roots efforts to educate New York State Legislators regarding the tremendous economic impact of $4.8 Billion provided by our horse industry and develop appropriate equine agricultural legislation.
We also focus on trail use development & standards, zoning, research into horse health and nutrition and humane treatment. We work in tandem with a number of affiliated organizations to make sure your needs are met.
We are especially interested in existing New York state equine organizations joining us in a recognized capacity. The more we band together the stronger our voices will become.
Please become a member of our group, and by volunteering to support our many committee efforts. As a collective we want to ensure that your needs are met whether you show, trail ride, breed or just admire horses and want to see them thrive and increase throughout New York. However the #NYSHC www.nyshc.org offers an option for $1 million in excess liability insurance for any damages your Equine may cause.
