  It's always a pleasure to be able to recommend a local business, and today I'm especially pleased to give a shout out to Matt Wilson of Outlaw Saddles and Silver in Montague. I have been looking for a saddle for a difficult to fit horse for over two months, having no luck, and was really at a loss for where to turn after trying MANY different saddles from near and far. None fit the horse. Some of the saddles came from out of the area for trials, and the shipping to return them was really getting expensive! I was willing to go custom, but didn't think there was anyone around to actually come out or haul to for an assessment. After Dori at Yreka Mailbox helped me ship back yet another saddle, she asked if I'd heard of Outlaw Saddles? I hadn't, but went home and looked up the web site. Matt came right out with several saddle trees, and after two visits came back with a saddle he'd made for himself. Finally, a perfect fit. He sometimes has saddles that he's made on hand for sale, but mainly does custom work. Matt gives great customer service and has a quality product to offer local riders at a reasonable price.
