Solar for Our Superheroes
About us
Solar for Our Superheroes is a 501c3 approved nonprofit organization thanking community nominated "heroes" with solar energy for their homes. These heroes can be anyone nominated for outstanding service: a veteran or nurse, single father or music teacher. In doing so, we are able to thank our heroes, bring together communities, and educate about renewable energy options in our MA neighborhoods.
Krissy Truesdale is the project's founder. She is a student at Clark University, a Massachusetts native, and a lover of people and our planet.
"As a little girl, I idolized my Grampy. He drove Ladder 1 at the Peabody Fire Station, was the firehouse cook, and took me fishing on the weekends. He was an electrician, a plumber, a fireman, a father, and a grandfather; a hero to the many neighbors he went out of his way to serve in his everyday actions, big and small. On March 28, 2007, he passed away at the age of 64. In his honor, I began the project Solar for Our Superheroes, in order to thank the many heroes that remain in my life.”

Please like her FB page "Solar for Our Superheroes", and take a look at what she is doing. Also, she is desperately in need of an attorney who knows how to do the paperwork to get her NPO set up with the State of MA. If you are an attorney or know of one who would help a 16 year old young lady set up a non profit, please contact her or me ASAP. (Probably only an hour or two of your time.) She is leaving to do a semester abroad and very much would like to get this incorporated before she leaves. This is a great cause, trying to help both our Planet AND the real Hero's of our community.
