Premium protection is thin stuff so covers all of the nooks and crannies, Layer 2 is thick stuff and builds thickness, layer 3 smooths it all out and gives better protection against diesel in the water. Works for me (and quite a lot of other people).

  We're about to black a boat... Does anybody have any recommendations for paint/suppliers...? We're going with bitumen cos she's coming out at Uxbridge so we only have access to a pressure washer to clean her off, unless anybody has any thing really interesting to say about two pack...?!!

  We use Rylards bitumen paint. For the first coat we use their premium protection as it is thinner and easier to work into pits etc. for the next layer we use their Rytex which is thicker and we finish off with a coat of Premium Protection for a glossier finish. If you have time put another coat around the waterline. Uxbridge sell it. http://www.rylardboats.com/hull.aspx
