  The Exploration Place has a birthday space that can be booked on weekends. For $200 + tax (members get a $25 discount) you get 2 hours in the room, free access to the museum for the day for you and your guests, and a birthday program (usually petting time with some animals or a science demonstration).   yes it is in the big park (no dogs) the exploration place has tons of interactive things for kids on learning and playing then they have a little steam train outside you can ride on weekends and an ice cream shop. then you walk about 5-10 mins into the park and there is a spray water park and a huge play ground. great for the day and a picnic lunch
