  While searching through ancestry and the 1880 census I find relatives listed at 122 Mechanic Street. the old enumeration district 421. I can't find any reference to Mechanic street in Manayunk. The first page of this ED lists 4311 to 4309 Main Street. Then a dozen houses on what looks like Robeson? 100 to 106 then some skips to 142. Then comes 6 pages of Mechanic followed by the 4300 block of terrace. Does anyone have any maps before they elevated the train tracks or put the "new road" in above St. Johns? Thanks

  Mark Ehasz go to Philageohistory.org they have old map you overlay to see what was the name of the street years ago. A lot of streets have changed names over the years. One example is Fountain St was named Hipple St in the 1800's. Some of the maps show the property owners. Have fun
