About us
Emelie paints a dreamlike world using dynamic colours and mystical characters, born from spending her childhood surrounded by the sea and shores, sailing with her father amongst the dancing and often unforeseen forces of the ocean.
The unconstrained soul of the sea, the lack of restrictions it boasts and the energy it emanates, made seeking inspiration easy for Emelie from a young age. Forever sketching, whether on paper, sand, rocks, driftwood, or in her mind, her work is derived from a great many sources off the back of these adventures.
Explosive colour, enchanting texture and an essence of serendipity are all of great consequence in Emelie’s work, whilst the pressure to maintain the freedom that Mother Nature displays is equally imperative in the success of her paintings.
Collections to date have depicted beaches, harbours, marinas, yacht scenes, yacht races, paddle boarders and more recently charming wild flowers and rolling hillsides, inspired by beauty found on Emelie’s doorstep as well as around the globe.
Painting in her captivating studio hidden in the Wiltshire countryside, Emelie invites commissioned Art projects as well as painting freely for exhibitions and galleries.
