  Hello. My friend's six year old daughter, Ella was recently diagnosed with Stage 4 Ewing's Sarcoma with the primary tumor in her left humerus. It has metastasized to her lungs. They live in Tucson, Az and Ella is currently undergoing chemo at the University of Arizona. She is in a trial. They are looking for a different hospital that both specializes in Sarcoma and has a pediatric oncology unit. Where they are now is neither. Ella is very bored and lonely and her parents want her to be around other kids so that she can have some social time as well as some emotional support from other kids who are fighting cancer. Is there such a hospital? They want the very best for their daughter, as all parents do and hope to find it all in one place. Can anyone suggest a top notch pediatric cancer hospital, hopefully one that specializes in Sarcoma? Thank you in advance.

  Try Childrens Hospital LA (http://www.chla.org). And look up Ronald McDonald House for housing. Most Pediatric Hospitals, whether they are free standing or associated with an adult hospital are part of the COG (Childrens Oncology Group) and have pediatric oncologist who know about EWS.

  Primary Children's Hospital in Utah is amazing! The doctors from the Sarcoma center at Huntsman Cancer Institute also practice there. Good luck!

  Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City is a great place. They are affiliated with the Huntsman Cancer Center. Dr Randall is a world renowned sarcoma specialist.

  I think most hospitals in the US that treat NB can do stem cell transplant with donor stem cells. You should trying contacting some of the major hospitals that treat NB. One of the major ones is CHOP (Children's Hospital of Philadelphia) 267-426-0762, You can try CHLA (Children's Hospital of Los Angeles) 323-660-2450, Texas Children's Hospital 832-824-1000, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center 513-636-4200, Children’s Hospital Boston 617-355-6000, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital 901-595-3300.   My daughter had her stem cell transplant at Yale New Haven Children's hospital when she was 4 yrs old with her own stem cells. Try contacting major hospitals and St Jude may be able to help.

  Need some crowd-sourcing help from my friends. Yesterday my son, Jake, had a freak thing happen at a movie theater and broke his right leg in two places. The fib is cracked but the tib is actually really a "bad" break. Can anyone recommend a great pediatric orthopedic surgeon in LA? Also, now that summer camp for him is looking bleak, I have heard from several friends who had similar stories of bone-breaking woe and I would love some fun summer alternatives for the little man.
