  Hi everyone....as I am sitting at home in this lovely heat..UGh... I started thinking that I live here in no-man's land and no-one, not even local doctors know anything about MG, so I have to drive 2 hours to all my appt's and it's getting old! So I was wondering if anyone could tell me how I could go about starting a support group in my area, put out filers, and educate local doctors about MG?!! I have often wondered if there is ANYONE nearby me who suffers with this? Any help would be GREAT!!! THANKS :)

  Kim, I would contact the Minnesota chapter about starting a support group - they may be able to provide you with a list of people in your area that you could contact and send flyers to. Also, advertising in your local paper and contacting local doctors would be a way to get the word out about a support group. As far as educating local doctors, a good tool is the MGFA's Professional Manual, which was written by doctors for doctors and has information on a variety of medical fields.
