Friday night in Lost Ottawa ... at the Rib in Vanier in November of 1967.
And a puzzler too ... which Bobby Brown was this? Were the Deacons a local band? And Harry ... did he have a family name?

Bobby Brown (with and without The Curios) played quite a bit in the area. They started in the area in 1959 at the Ottawa House in Hull, where they were a regular act. They were sort of the house band (first in the Circus Lounge and then the Grill there). After nearly six years of entertaining Hull, they made their way over to the Riverside at the Rib. That lasted from 1966 to 1967. By 1968, he was at the Lafontaine Hotel and played a room named for him: The Curio Room. That was the last mention of him I saw in the Journal. For what it's worth, he's still alive and playing occasionally. http://www.rockabillyhall.com/BobbyBrown.html
