  My living room carpet is so disgusting, I would like to get hard wood floors. Theres little to no grass in the front and back of my unit and mud and dirt tracks in all the time. No matter how hard I try to clean it, the spots just pop back up. My baby walks now but is always playing on the floor and its gross. Her hands and feet have even smelt gross from walking and crawling on our carpet because it seems I cant ever clean it well enough. Im fed up w it and cannot afford to pay to get it steam cleaned, especially when it would need to be done often. No food or drinks are allowed upstairs so the carpet up there is fine but I really want my living room done asap please.

  Who do I call if I see rodent droppings in my outdoor storage closet? I swept it out this past Saturday but by Sunday there were new droppings. There has been no evidence of them in my house or in the 2 boxes I have in there but there is definitely a hole that could be packed with steel wool.

  Here is an exerp from our current Resident Housing Guide from page 26 that details the guides for having a Starage Shed.STORAGE SHEDS – RESIDENT INSTALLED Permission to emplace a storage shed must be submitted to the FCFH Leasing Office. Construction may not start until approval is granted. Storage sheds will be located in the rear yard only. Only one storage shed is allowed per house. The shed may be no larger than 10' x 10', pre-painted (paint will coordinate with housing area’s color scheme) non-corrosive vinyl, metal or wood; commercial product with strength suitable to Fort Carson Family Housing Resident Guide March 2008 27 withstand ice, snow, and wind load conditions; and anchored to ground. Electric lines will not be run to storage sheds and they will not be heated. Nothing will be placed on top of shed. Satellite dishes may not be placed on sheds. Residents are liable for any damage or injury caused by the structure. Sheds must either be turned over to the next resident by way of a written acknowledgement and acceptance letter signed by the incoming resident or be removed with the bare ground beneath the shed repaired with sod or grass growing, at resident’s cost, prior to clearing housing.

I have a couple quick questions, if someone could answer :) My husband is an E3, it is just him and I for now. We are wanting to live on post and should be arriving late December or early January. What housing will we be allowed to get? When should we expect hard copy orders? Who do I contact once we get hard copy orders for on post housing? Once he moves up rank do we switch houses or just remain there until we pcs again? Thanks in advance!!

  Welcome!!!You would moving into the Junior Enlisted Villages and have a 2 bedroom requirement. Your spouses unit would be best to ask about when you will receive his hard copy orders. Once you receive them please go to our website at www.fortcarsonfamilyhousing.com and submit an application then fax a copy of the orders, a current LES and DEERS form DD1172 to us at 719-559-8850 to either Cindy or Debbie. You can reach them at 719-579-1606 ext 250 or 251. You can also reach them at cmorgavan@bbcgrp.com and dwilkin@bbcgrp.com. You do have the option to transfer at your cost and if you qualilfy once you are in a home on Fort Carson. Thank you and let us know if we can assist you further.

  To be placed on the housing list you will need to go to our website, www.fortcarsonfamilyhousing.com, and fill out the online application. Once you do that you will need to email or fax us a copy of your orders bringing you to Fort Carson, a DD 1172 ( DEERS) form, and a current LES. As soon as we recieve all the paperwork, you will be placed on the list.

  We have all of our events listed here and on our web page, www.fortcarsonfamilyhousing.com. We have a mobile craft time next tuesday from 10 am to 1 pm in the 5000 area. Kris Spiller our LifeWorks Coordinator will have her August schedule posted soon.
