Dog training recommendations? I've never owned a dog before. About a month ago I adopted a 4-year-old, 26-pound collie mix.
About the dog:
* He is somewhat house-trained but his "accidents" are still pretty common.
* He usually responds to a few basic commands (sit, come, down) but not always.
* He has a little bit of aggression issues (I'm female, the dog has growled at my male partner about half a dozen times total in a way that seems like he's guarding me. He has never bit or actually hurt anyone).
Can anyone recommend a trainer or service that can help with this kind of stuff? From basic obedience and housetraining to mild aggression. Preferably something on the cheaper side rather than private boarding.
I have a coupon for training sessions at PetSmart, but I don't know how good their classes are and I don't know what the other options are.

I volunteer with Louies Legacy as a foster for them and one of the trainers we use is Darah from http://www.underdogk-9.com/ She is amazing. she has worked with us with many highly aggressive animals who are now living happy peaceful lives with families with small children without any worries that they may be aggressive. She truly is excellent at what she does.
I'm looking for a good dog trainer for my pit/boxer (1.5 yrs.) and pit/rott (3 yrs.) dogs. Can you recommend anyone on the west side of Cincinnati?
