  There are a lot of great co-ops around if you want to teach some things and have him go to class for other classes. I started home schooling my daughter in 8 th grade and believe me, it's the best decision I ever made. We go to Thursday Connection (www.thursdayconnection.org) and love it. They meet each Thursday, then your child does the work through the week. We also use Berean Christian School as our umbrella school so they file all of the forms with the State. You don't have to use an umbrella school, but it has been easier for me. Now my daughter is in High School, so the umbrella school is great to make sure we are on track for college.
