Amber asks: Can anyone reccomend a primary care physician that is somewhat knowledgable about breast feeding? My current one isnt supportive if bfing and tries to prescribe medicines that arent safe while bfing.

Try calling the Olson Center at UNMC, 402-559-4500. I saw Dr. Rachel Bonnema for a physical when I was pregnant and found her to be caring and sympathetic (she didn't even push the flu shot), though I'm sure there are other great doctors there too. There are also many midwives and nurses in the clinic who support breastfeeding, as well as breastfeeding rooms available for use. Good luck!
