Tread Tabata is HIIT (high intensity interval training) class taught on the treadmill, utilizing varying speeds and inclines, combined with full body intervals on the floor, set to timed music. A tabata type protocol is used for 20 seconds on, 10 seconds rest, for 8 cycles equaling 4 minutes. This method was created by Imuzi Tabata and is scientifically proven increase athletic performance, increase cardio vascular capacity, boost V02 max and decrease body fat. You do not have to be a runner for this class. All levels are encouraged, even walkers.
