Tracy Arm Fjords & Glacier I'm looking for any tips at all, especially with regards to any excursions. Seems like there is a lot of nature/scenic things to see in Alaska, would be happy to do things like hikes, kayaking, biking. Excursions with the cruise ship seems really expensive but if there are any recommendations for local tours, would be happy to support local businesses! Also, any tips for Serenade of the Seas?   There is also King crab at the Mountain House at the top of the Tram. Other crab dishes can be found at Twisted Fish and Hangar on the Wharf, all located on the dock system. Tracy's is the best known/most popular, and as previously noted, has two waterfront locations. Stop in at the Travel Juneau visitors centers for more information and a walking map! I notice that you can’t drive there though and the NPS website recommends a boat across.   Agree with posters that doing Glacier Bay Nat'l Park isn't doable as you're describing. Most of the concessionaires won't be up and running until early May. However, you could definitely do some hiking and kayaking around Juneau, and see the Mendenhall Glacier. If you're taking off to HI from ANC, you could book a separate leg up there; it's a 90 min flight on Alaska Air.
